About Us
Sui Lume Trade values connecting quietly refined worth from around the world to Japan.
“Sui” represents pure passion and the pursuit of essence,
while “Lume,” derived from Italian, symbolizes wisdom and hope, gently illuminating life and daily living.
Guided by these two spirits, we carefully select products that bring subtle joy and richness to everyday life.
Our goal is not to stand out, but to offer items that naturally become a part of daily life over time.
By attentively engaging with each product and its story,
we strive to deliver possibilities in a sincere and thoughtful way, harmonizing with the Japanese market and lifestyle.
About Founder
Carrying good creations into the next generation.
Yoshiko Haga
Founder

I studied fine art overseas and went on to gain experience at international companies and in culture-related fields.
Through this work, I repeatedly encountered a reality in which cultural value and craftsmanship—both in Japan and abroad—are not always fully conveyed or sustainably passed on.
After leaving a company I had worked with for many years and taking time to reflect on my own path,
my desire to play a role in carrying meaningful creations into the next generation became clear.
This led me to establish SuiLume.
On my father’s side, I grew up around work that involved creating and supporting structural foundations,
while on my mother’s side, craftsmanship and attention to quality were central through her work as a tailor.
As a result, making and creating things were always a natural part of my environment.
Living and traveling in the United States, the United Kingdom, and across Europe further deepened my understanding of different cultures and aesthetic values.
Through SuiLume, I carefully rediscover products from around the world that balance practicality and beauty,
aiming to serve as a bridge between the intentions of makers and the sensibilities of those who use their work.
By carrying culture forward and gently bringing light to everyday life, I hope to offer moments of quiet discovery.
